Ms Heavey is Director, Insights at Ambition Institute. She oversees programme evaluation for the charity, including for the Early Career Framework and the National Professional Qualifications.
Ms Heavey was previously Priority Project Lead: School Inspection Policy at OFSTED and before that the National Director of Whole School SEND, as well as a former music teacher with extensive experience in schools and education.
While she has significant expertise in special educational needs, Ms Heavey also brings expertise around wider school leadership, curriculum and pedagogical issues, and will demand that Advantage Schools delivers the highest quality of education to as many families as possible in and around Bedford.
