Jane was one of the founder members of Bedford Free School and played a key role in establishing many of the systems and routines that have enabled pupils of the school to achieve so well. She has in excess of twenty five years teaching experience in secondary schools in Bedfordshire. having spent the first ten years of her career as a very successful Drama teacher and Head of Department, before becoming a Head of Year/House.
Jane joined Bedford Free School as a member of the senior leadership team, and has worked as Head of School and Vice Principal before taking on the role of Principal in January 2022.
In addition to her teaching qualifications, Jane holds the National Award for Special Educational Needs (SENCo).
